Sealed Bids for construction of the City of Cleveland, MS, Bear Pen Park Lighting Improvement Project (Project No. 17‐RTP‐0293), will be received by the City of Cleveland, at the office of the City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732, until 2:00 P.M., local time on March 20, 2018, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of construction of installation of lighting fixtures at the Bear Pen Park Walking Trail; complete with all site work, electrical work and all other incidentals required for a complete installation, ready for operation.

Bidding Documents may examine free of charge at the office of the Engineer, Eley‐Barkley, PA, 306 Third Street, Cleveland, Mississippi, 38732, Tel. 662‐846‐0180; at the office of the Cleveland City Hall, 100 North St, Cleveland, MS 38732; or at participating plan rooms.

Bidding Documents may be purchased at Eley|Barkley P.A., 306 Third Street Cleveland, MS, 38732, 662‐ 846‐0180, upon payment of $100.00 per set, which is non‐refundable. Plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must purchase the Bidding Documents in order to be eligible to submit a Bid.

Bids may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the Bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the following: Bid For the City Of Cleveland, Mississippi, Bear Pen Park Lighting Improvement Project (Project No. 17‐RTP‐0293), to be opened on March 20, 2018, and addressed to The City of Cleveland, 100 North St, Cleveland, MS 38732, Attn: Dominique Greene, City Clerk. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company Name, Company Address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked.

Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder
may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the
right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.

Bidders must be properly licensed under the applicable laws of the State of Mississippi for the type of Work required for the Project and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds, as described in the Bidding Documents.
