ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for construction of the Cleveland, MS Municipal Airport (KRNV), Fuel Farm Improvement Project (Project No. MM-015-1018), will be received by the City of Cleveland, MS at the office of the Cleveland City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732, until 10:00 A.M. local time on April 3, 2018, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project consists of construction of furnishing and installing one (1), 12,000-gallon, Jet-A fuel storage tank and one (1), 12,000-gallon Avgas (100LL) fuel storage tank; complete with all associated site work, concrete foundation, electrical work, card reader system and all other incidentals required for a complete installation, ready for operation.
The Bidding Documents may be examined, free of charge, at the office of the Engineer, Eley-Barkley, PA, 306 Third Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732, Tel. 662-846-0180; at the office of the Owner, Cleveland City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732; or at participating plan rooms.
Bidding Documents may be purchased at www.cityofclevelandmsplans.com. Plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must purchase the Bidding Documents in order to be eligible to submit a Bid.
Proposals may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside with the following: Bid for the Cleveland, MS Municipal Airport (KRNV), Fuel Farm Improvement Project (Project No. MM-0015-1018), to be opened on April 3, 2018; and addressed to: Cleveland City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS 38732. In addition, the envelope shall list the Bidder’s Company Name, Address and Mississippi Contractors License number, if applicable. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked.
For electronic delivery, Bids must be submitted at www.cityofclevelandmsplans.com. All electronic Bids must be submitted in portable electronic format (PDF) and must contain the same information, forms and Bid Security as required for paper Bids.
Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.
Bidders must be properly licensed under the applicable laws of the State of Mississippi for the type of Work required for the Project and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds, as described in the Bidding Documents.
