Sealed Bids for construction of the 2019 Walking Trail Re-Seal, Project CC01-19 will be received, by the City of Cleveland, MS at the office of the Cleveland City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732, until 10:00 A.M. local time on September 6, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of filling all the cracks on the trail with crack sealant (9,931 LF), then covering all the trials with a fog seal coat (19,944.5 SY).

The Bidding Documents may examine free of charge at the office of the Engineer, Eley-Barkley, PA, 306
Third Street, Cleveland, Mississippi, 38732, Tel. 662-846-0180; at the office of the Owner, Cleveland City
Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732; or at participating plan rooms.

Bidding Documents may be purchased at Plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must purchase the Bidding Documents in order to be eligible to submit a Bid.

Proposals may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope
with the following: Walking Trail Re-Seal, Project CC01-19, to be opened on July 30, 2019, and addressed to: Cleveland City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS, 38732. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company Name, Company Address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked.

For electronic delivery, Bids must be submitted at All electronic Bids must be submitted in portable electronic format (PDF) and must contain the same information, forms and Bid Security as required for paper Bids.

Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.

Bidders must be properly licensed under the applicable laws of the State of Mississippi for the type of Work required for the Project and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds, as described in the Bidding Documents.
