EXPANSION AND RENOVATION TO CLEVELAND BOLIVAR COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER

(Addendum #2)

Sealed Bids for construction of the Expansion and Renovation to the Cleveland-Bolivar County Animal Shelter in the City of Cleveland, will be received, by The City of Cleveland, Mississippi, at the office of the City Hall, 100 North Street, Cleveland, MS 38732, until 10:00 A.M., local time, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Bidding Documents may be examined free of charge at the office of the Owner at City Hall, 100
North Street, Cleveland, MS 38732. The Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically on or after 12-24-20 from the Animal Shelter Consultant, Shelter Planners of America by contacting Michael Barnard, President of Shelter Planners of America via email at mike@spoausa.com. All plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must obtain the Bidding Documents from Shelter Planners of America in order to be eligible to submit a Bid.

Bids may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the Bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope as follows: Bid for the City of Cleveland, MS, Expansion and Renovation to Cleveland-Bolivar County Animal Shelter, to be opened Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 10:00 A.M., Bidders Company Name, Bidder’s Address, Tele- phone Number and email address, and Mississippi State Contractor’s License Number(s). All Bids should be addressed to the City of Cleveland, 100 North St, Cleveland, MS 38732, Attn: Dominique Greene, City Clerk. The Owner and Animal Shelter Consultant assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked.

For electronic delivery, Bids must be submitted at cityofclevelandmsplans.com. All electronic Bids must be submitted in portable electronic format (PDF) and must contain the same information, forms and Bid Security as required for paper Bids.

Bidders must visit the site to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions. Bidders must contact Jamie Grant at the existing animal shelter to make an appointment by emailing Jamie.Grant@cityofclevelandms.com.

Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.

Bidders must be properly licensed under the applicable laws of the State of Mississippi for the type of Work required for the Project and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds, as described in the Bid- ding Documents.
